Vice President 2 Mr Alfred attended a full day event organized by IOM on “Strengthening Grievance Mechanisms for Migrant Workers: A Pathway to Remedy, Resilience and Responsibility” at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre, on behalf of President Dato’ Foo. Amongst the speakers from the government bodies were Puan Betty binti Hassan (Deputy Director General of JTKSM), Mr Damian Santosh Samson (Head of ESG Unit, MATRADE) and Encik Hairiri bin Harun (Head of Foreign Workers Division, PERKESO).
PAPA was granted a meeting with KESUMA Bahagian Dasar to discuss several important issues relating to Foreign Domestic Helpers which was chaired by Puan Rafea’ah binti Nahar, Setiausaha Bahagian (SUB), Cawangan Dasar Perburuhan.
There was a total of 11 attendees where 8 were from Bahagian Dasar including the Chairperson with Puan Grace Dairiam (Timbalan SUB) and Dr Harris Gani (Ketua Penolong Setiausaha, Bahagian Pekerja Asing) amongst others, and 3 from JTKSM headed by Che Rokman Che Awang (Pengarah Bahagian Pengurusan Pekerja Bukan Warganegara).

President Dato’ Foo went on live broadcast for about an hour, as a Guest Expert on 8TV’s “Living Delight" program, which was conducted in Mandarin, focusing on the current market landscape and practical concerns of hiring foreign domestic helpers in Malaysia.
