5 AJK members attended a meeting with the Director General of JTK with regards to issues pertaining to the recruitment of domestic maids from Cambodia.

Applied to the Minister of Human Resources for a courtesy visit and to discuss regarding on the recruitment of foreign workers.

Applied to Director General of JTK for an appointment to discuss the uncertainties faced by APS given with JTK Licence Class C, as well as the restrictions on the recruitment of domestic maids from Cambodia.

Applied to Bahagian Dasar KSM for an appointment to discuss training issues to obtain “Certificate of Eligibility” for domestic maids from Cambodia.

The National Bar Council (Majlis Peguam Negara) conducted a talk on “National Consultation on Comprehensive Policy Framework for Migrant Workers” and was attended by President Dato’ Foo Yong Hooi and Assistant Secretary Mr Tan Yee Khai.

PAPA organised a briefing entitled “How to Carry Out Local Manpower Recruitment and Placement” to all members at The Royal Selangor Club, Jalan Bukit Kiara. A total number of 94 representatives from 63 member companies attended and this briefing was presented by Mr Kennedy Kumar (Manager of Job Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur) and Mr Hiritharagopala from A/P Tele-Temps Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd.
