PERKESO conducted a roundtable session on “Skim Kemalangan Bukan Bencana Kerja (SKBBK)” held at Menara PERKESO Ampang. Vice President 1 Mr Suresh and AJK Mr Ethan attended this roundtable session.
Proforest and Nestle co-organised a stakeholder consultation workshop on Human Rights Action Plan with focus on forced labour and worker voice. It was held at Connexion Conference & Event Centre in Bangsar South City and was attended by Vice President 1 Mr Suresh.
PAPA was invited by KESUMA to an engagement session with regards to the process of recruiting foreign workers under TURAP, which was held at Menara PERKESO Putrajaya. It was attended by 8 AJKs namely;
(1) Dato’ Foo (2) Puan Mas Torah (3) Mr Suresh (4) Mr Alfred Tan (5) Ir KT Tan (6) Ms Premlathar (7) Mr Justin Low (8) Dato’ Mat Danial
A Tea-Talk session was held in the afternoon, with briefings on the latest development presented by:
(i) Tuan Hairiri bin Harun, Ketua Bahagian Pekerja Asing from PERKESO;
(ii) Mdm Jocelyn Ortega, Labour Attaché from the Philippines Embassy;
(iii) Pak Garda Arian Perdana, Sekretaris Ketiga from the Indonesian Embassy;
(iv) Mr K.E. Veasna, Labour Attaché from the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia; and
(v) Mrs Thushari Perera, Second Secretary from the High Commission of Sri Lanka.
They were also present earlier to witness the launch of the GMAT special insurance scheme.
