Proforest and Nestle co-organised a stakeholder consultation workshop on Human Rights Action Plan with focus on forced labour and worker voice. It was held at Connexion Conference & Event Centre in Bangsar South City and was attended by Vice President 1 Mr Suresh.

A Tea-Talk session was held in the afternoon, with briefings on the latest development presented by: 

(i)  Tuan Hairiri bin Harun, Ketua Bahagian Pekerja Asing from PERKESO;

(ii) Mdm Jocelyn Ortega, Labour Attaché from the Philippines Embassy;

(iii) Pak Garda Arian Perdana, Sekretaris Ketiga from the Indonesian Embassy;

(iv) Mr K.E. Veasna, Labour Attaché from the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia; and

(v)  Mrs Thushari Perera, Second Secretary from the High Commission of Sri Lanka.

They were also present earlier to witness the launch of the GMAT special insurance scheme.
